🛏 Linen & Towels

Is all the linen supplied?
Yes, lovely linen is provided on each bed, along with two fluffy white towels per guest. Please bring your own beach towels.


🌊 Location

How close are you to the beach?
The house is right on the beach. At high tide, you’re surrounded by water. The kitchen door leads directly to a historic smugglers’ passage.


🧺 Laundry

Is there a washer and dryer?
Yes. You’ll find a washer, dryer, and an indoor line for damp towels in the utility room. There’s also an outdoor rotary line and pegs.


Arrival & Departure

What are the check-in and check-out times?

  • Check-in: 2:00 PM
  • Check-out: 10:00 AM

What’s the maximum occupancy?
The house sleeps up to 6 guests.


📶 Connectivity & Entertainment

Is there Wi-Fi and a TV?
Yes. Fast broadband is available, and the Smart TV offers various streaming services.


🐾 Pets

Can we bring our dog?
Yes, one dog is welcome!
Please keep dogs off the furniture. A comfy dog fleece is provided.
In the garden, use the grassy area nearest the picnic table for your dogs toileting and always pick up after your dog straight away.
The beach is dog-friendly year-round—turn right out of the kitchen. Ignore the signs on the gate; they’re from a kind but misinformed elderly neighbour.


🚭 Smoking

Is smoking allowed?
No smoking indoors. If you smoke in the garden, please dispose of waste responsibly.


Accessibility

Is the property suitable for guests with limited mobility?
The house has four floors and many stairs, so it may not be suitable for those with mobility challenges.

Do I need to bring a hairdryer?
No—we provide a hairdryer in each bedroom.


🛒 Groceries & Local Food

Can I get groceries delivered?
Yes! All major supermarkets (including Waitrose) deliver to the house.

Are there local food shops nearby?
Yes—lots!

  • The Stores Deli – Amazing local deli
  • Bakery (across the road) – Seasonal (Easter to October)
  • Fore Street Supermarket – Local produce & refillable Rodda’s milk
  • Widdicombe’s – Outstanding local fruit, veg & health foods
  • RGS (Torpoint) – Fresh fish
  • Paul Bray & Sons (Saltash) – Excellent butcher

🐶 Dog-Friendly Beaches

Are dogs allowed on the beach?
Yes! The beach directly below the house and most nearby beaches are dog-friendly year-round.
Only the beach off Cawsand Square has seasonal summer restrictions.


🚗 Parking

Where can we park?
There are two nearby car parks.
The Cornwall Council-run car park is larger and cheaper. Download the JustPark app in advance for easy payment. We will send you details at time of booking.


🍽 Eating Out

Are there good restaurants nearby?
Absolutely. We’ll share a curated list of top places—some to book, others to discover spontaneously.


🌿 Garden Dining

Can we eat in the garden?
Yes. No.3 has its own section in the old walled garden, with a picnic table and benches—perfect for a lunch to the sound of the waves.


🚢 Getting Here

Ferry or Tamar Bridge—what’s best?
We love taking the Torpoint Ferry—it feels like the adventure begins right there!
There’s no charge to enter Cornwall via ferry or bridge, but a small fee applies when you leave.
